The Nuisance Machines are a series of devices aimed at triggering incidental groups through artificial, contrived methods. Incidental groups are those framed through the action or reaction of people to an un-expected instance or experience.  The incidental group is distinguished by the fact that members did not originally set out to become part of a group, rather that they ‘fall’ into it, seemingly through proximity or chance.. more..

Through a combination of designed awkwardness and mechanical crisis the stall operates as an experiment looking into the reactions, and resultant interactions of its customers. Using a simple product, (cakes) the stall is reactive to its customers. The combination of commercial success and greed/desire on behalf of the consumer triggers a series of events leading, ultimately, to the stall’s destruction.. more..
