Neptune_Using designed scenarios we are questioning the relationships, and balance between humans and the biology that they inhabit, and the frameworks responsible for implementation/ integration of policy. Exploring three levels of approach; governmental, individual, and enthusiast, the scenario's question how far the individual is prepared to go, through bodily and behavioral modification, to aid the percieved 'greater good'.
Bio sheild_ A synthetic cocoon grows around the individual, providing regulation and sustenance for individuals partaking in government lead hibernation schemes.
Night vision_ Using genetically modified carrotts individuals are able to grow the tapetum Lucidum, enabling vision in very low light, thus reducing the need for electric lighting, reducing associated energy consumption.
Central heating_ Increased levels of bio-manufacturing allows potential infection through contact with everyday objects. This infection operates in the dermis layer of the skin, reacting either endo or exo thermically dependant upon the surrounding conditions. This acts to overide the body's homeostasis offering comfort over a wider temperature range, reducing the need for separate HVAC equipment.
